Stand Against Domestic Violence.
WIZO Goldie is currently raising funds for Safety Net, WIZO’s national rehabilitation program for women and children after they leave domestic violence shelters. This program addresses the critical gap between shelter care and independent living by providing continued emotional, legal and practical support.
Operating in 11 communities across Israel, Safety Net helps women rebuild their lives with dignity and independence. Due to growing demand, WIZO is working to expand the program to 13 communities so that even more families can receive support during this crucial stage of recovery.
As part of this initiative, WIZO Goldie is supporting the Water Safety Program within Safety Net. Running in five locations, the program teaches children, and now their mothers, essential water safety skills over five weeks. Participants learn how to recognise rips, understand water safety and, for many, it is the first time they have ever learnt to swim.
For children rebuilding their lives after trauma, this program provides more than safety skills, it builds confidence, resilience and a sense of normal childhood.
Our goal is to provide 100 swim packs for children participating in the program.
Each swim pack equips a child with the essentials they need to participate safely and confidently. (swim bag, goggles, sunscreen and towel)
I warmly invite you to help us reach this goal.
A donation today, whether it supports one swim pack or several will directly help a child and their mother rebuild their lives with confidence, dignity and hope for the future.
A gift of $50 can help provide a swim pack for one child.
A larger gift can help support multiple children and families rebuilding their lives.
Please donate today, Click here to donate your generosity will ensure that vulnerable women and children moving forward from domestic violence are not doing so alone.
Thank you for standing with WIZO, WIZO Goldie, and the families we are privileged to support.
